That’s right, the response to ūmmi in Portugal and especially our cans has been so positive we’re expanding our distribution.
We get asked most on Dms: “when can you ship to me in Munich/Copenhagen/Stockholm?”. Our usual tactic is to get people to stock up when they visit Portugal and carry it home. Thankfully though, we have found a long-term solution.
From this weekend, we’ll be able to ship to customers in Germany, Denmark, Sweden and Portugal. within 48 hours.

We’ve been working on this expansion for a while now and are very thankful to our partners, BeMakers, for making this a reality. One of the most significant issues in this space is that sending excise taxable goods is complicated with some antiquated laws that vary country by country. Thankfully this team has built a digital-first solution that can take us into the future. We’re very happy that in this growth phase of ummi, we can join BeMakers alongside great brands, including Copenhagen Distillery, Empirical spirits, Andersen Winery, Far & Son, and Et Oh.
This next step for ūmmi also comes with investment in our current funding round from Kasper Hulthin, someone we have wanted to get on board with for a long time. Kasper is an investor and entrepreneur with success stories, including Peakon and Kost, a board & chair member role with Tonsser, Future Five, and BeMakers. We couldn’t be happier to have him along.
